10 Tiny Little Things You Can Do For Yourself When You’re Feeling Uninspired

Everyone goes through a phase in life, when you feel blue leaving you broken and numb. Whatever the reason may be, feeling uninspired for life isn’t an option. It is when you are down; you feel like your world is breaking apart. That is when you must understand the importance of tiny things in life that makes a difference. You might not be in the right frame of mind to have some fun and easily snap out of it, but here are some tiny little things you can do for yourself that will make you feel better. For sure!

Condition: Keep your phone away!


1.) Do that one thing which you have been procrastinating for a while.


It can be as silly as going for a long drive or as rigorous as going for a 4,000 ft treak. Do it! The joy of cutting down one thing from your wish list will be totally worth it.


2.) Go out for a walk and smile at a random passerby on the street.


This one seems silly but trust me, it works wonders. Try it once, the person will either smile back at you (which really feels amazing) or give you a puzzled look, either way it will make you laugh. Also, you might just make their day!


3.) Random act of kindness


Feel a poor kid, pet a dog, give your seat to an old man, help someone in need or simply visit an orphanage and spend some time with the kids. The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.


4.) Go through your old stuff.


Positive memories only! Your school photographs, college outings, mark sheets (not applicable to everyone) or some amazing dates you’ve been on. Relive those moments and cheer up!


5.) Prepare your favorite dish.


If this seem to tough, watch some food channels when you have no food left in the refrigerator. It will definitely motivate you to get your ass in the kitchen. If you are bad at it, look up for the recipe online and give it your 100%. This might sound troublesome, but when you take that first bite; you will wish you would have done it way before.


6.) Deck up your room.


They say your surroundings have a lot more influence on you than you think. So clean up your space, brighten it up, stick some happy pictures around, get some pretty saplings (Go Green!) play some nice music and feel the change in your thoughts!


7.) Take a staycation


Rent a hotel room for yourself, take a dip in the pool, eat some nice food, put on some soft music and unwind. If you need a cheaper alternative, simply sit in your balcony while sipping tea and relax.


8.) Text a friend you’ve been thinking about for quite some time.


Send a message to that one friend who is always there in one corner of your mind, a person you always cared about; who you know is going through a rough patch. Send a nicely drafted message which will bring a smile to your friend’s face and feel good about yourself.


9.) Doll up a bit.


Wear a nice outfit, experiment with your hair, put on some accessories and look beautiful. Look good, feel good!


10.) Pen your thoughts down


I know, there might me many thoughts gushing in your mind at the same time. Try and streamline your thoughts and pen them down. You will be surprised how relieved you will feel. It feels as good as sharing your thoughts with someone you love and you will actually be able to feel the weight lift off your shoulders. Also, the next time you feel low; this little note will help you understand yourself better and snap out of it.
